As a result of another shelling by the Russian Federation on the territory of Dnipropetrovsk region, the railway infrastructure has been significantly damaged. Consequently, passenger trains operated by Ukrzaliznytsia are experiencing delays, and several routes have been temporarily altered to ensure passenger safety and the stability of operations.

What Changes Have Occurred in Train Operations

Significant difficulties have arisen on the section between the cities of Dnipro and Zaporizhzhia. To overcome the damaged infrastructure, trains are required to operate with the assistance of a helper locomotive, which allows for the continuation of transport services while maintaining safety. On average, delays on this section reach up to one hour, but railway workers are striving to minimize the delay time.

Two passenger services, namely No. 92 Odesa – Kramatorsk and No. 824 Dnipro – Kharkiv, have temporarily changed their routes. They are now operating via the Samara-Dniprovskyi station, bypassing the damaged section, which helps to avoid risks and ensure the continuity of operations. Similar measures are being applied to the return services.

List of Delayed Trains and Current Situation

According to the latest information, train delays range from 10 to 43 minutes. The largest deviations from the schedule are observed in the following services:

  • No. 9/10 Budapest-Keleti – Kyiv-Pas. (+43 minutes);
  • No. 27/28 Chop – Kyiv-Pas. (+41 minutes);
  • No. 95/96 Rakhiv – Kyiv-Pas. (+41 minutes);
  • No. 715/716 Przemyśl Główny – Kyiv-Pas. (+29 minutes);
  • No. 39/40 Solotvyno-1 – Zaporizhzhia-1 (+25 minutes);
  • No. 755/756 Kyiv-Pas. – Lutsk (+18 minutes);
  • No. 725/726 Kharkiv-Pas. – Kyiv-Pas. (+10 minutes).

In most cases, delays do not exceed half an hour, and in some instances, trains arrive even earlier than anticipated after the shelling. Emergency crews have already been deployed to promptly address the aftermath of the attack and are working on restoring the damaged sections.

“Ukrzaliznytsia” urges passengers to check the current schedule in the mobile app and on the official website. It is also worth noting that delays may change throughout the day depending on the pace of repair work and the operational situation on the routes.
