Known as the “Doomsday Radio,” the UWB-76 radio station unexpectedly began continuous broadcasts of encrypted signals on February 11, marking a true anomaly for this legendary station. Such intensity of broadcasts has not been observed throughout the station’s existence.

Record Activity of Encrypted Codes
The Russian radio station UWB-76, also referred to as the “buzzer,” recorded a record number of coded voice messages — 12 different signals were transmitted from the start of the day to the broadcast, and it is likely that transmissions are ongoing. Traditionally, the station is limited to monotonous noise, and such a frequency of transmission is unique for it.

Each broadcast contained a distinct characteristic word: “Akrokren,” “fishing,” “chlevotyuk,” “blitzosidr,” “vikhlyanye,” “baranka,” “pridirtchivy,” “ukosopab,” “pokladisty,” “USSR,” “doves,” “kobochel.” The first signal with this word was heard at 09:05 Moscow time, and just four minutes later — the second. Then, after nearly an hour’s break, the station issued five more messages in fifteen minutes.
After 42 minutes, the eighth signal was heard, and the subsequent words were transmitted with a small interval. The word “USSR” was transmitted at 12:53, and the last two — “doves” and “kobochel” — at 13:06 and 13:07 respectively.
All messages were voiced by an announcer as separate code words, the content of which remains unknown. This sharp activation has sparked significant interest among OSINT researchers. Experts believe that the increased activity may indicate a change in the readiness level of Russian military communication nodes. There are currently no official explanations for the reasons behind this anomalous operation of the transmitter.
