The State Transferred 20,000 Hectares of Agricultural Land to Farmers for ₴600 Million

As a result of the first half of the online auctions of the “Land Bank,” over 20,000 hectares of state land have been transferred to farmers for legal use. In total, ₴584.9 million, including VAT, has been received in the budget for the right to use these agricultural lands, as reported by the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine.

Auction Details

Since October 1, 2024, 506 sublease auctions have been conducted, covering 35,235 hectares of land across 17 regions of the country. As a result of 271 auctions, sublease agreements have been signed for 20,521 hectares. The highest average price per hectare was recorded in Ivano-Frankivsk region at ₴47,500, while the lowest was in Zakarpattia, where a hectare was valued at ₴3,496. It is important to note that 69.1% of the auction winners represent small and medium-sized agricultural businesses.

Upcoming Auctions

As of April 3, there are still 394 plots of land available for sublease (12,000 hectares). Among them, the largest lot from the first pool of the “Land Bank” is a plot of 3,969 hectares in Kirovohrad region. The starting price for this plot is ₴13.7 million, and a repeat auction is scheduled for April 22.
