Factory Near Air Base: Strategic Security and Logistics
The new plant will be situated near the Skrydstrup military airbase, which hosts combat aircraft and significant military infrastructure of Denmark. This strategic proximity enhances the security of the facility, providing additional protection against potential threats, as well as simplifying the control and logistics of transporting products that are critical to Ukraine’s defense capabilities.
Benefits for Ukraine and NATO
Fire Point plans to produce solid rocket fuel for military purposes, which is a key component for many modern Ukrainian missile systems and drone platforms. Relocating part of the production capacity outside of Ukraine will minimize risks associated with potential missile strikes from the Russian Federation and ensure uninterrupted supplies of strategic products. The opening of the plant is scheduled for 2026.
Denmark has become the first NATO country to allow Ukrainian defense companies to establish production facilities on its territory.
