The number of victims of Russia’s massive missile strike on Kyiv has risen to seven

The number of fatalities from the powerful missile attack by the Russian Federation on Kyiv has risen to seven people. This was reported by the city mayor Vitali Klitschko, noting that another wounded person died in one of Kyiv’s hospitals after sustaining injuries during the nighttime shelling.

Consequences of the attack: injuries and destruction

According to Klitschko, there are 52 injured individuals in the city’s hospitals, including two children. In total, 90 people were affected by the shelling. Medical personnel continue to fight for the lives of those severely injured, while rescue services are addressing the aftermath of the destruction in various districts of the capital.

During the nighttime massive attack, according to the Air Forces, Russia launched 73 missiles and 656 drones at Ukraine. The Ukrainian air defense managed to destroy 40 missiles and 602 drones. The main strike was focused on Kyiv, but Dnipro, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Poltava region, and other areas were also attacked.

Overall situation and government response

President Volodymyr Zelensky reported that as a result of this attack, 22 people died across Ukraine, and another 130 were injured. Authorities are urging residents to adhere to safety rules during air alerts and not to ignore danger signals.
