The Cabinet extended the electricity tariffs for the population until November 2026

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has decided to keep the current electricity tariff for residential consumers at 4.32 UAH per kWh until October 31, 2026. This was announced by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.

Tariffs for households with electric heating

For families where electricity is the main source of heat — this includes private houses and apartments with electric heating, as well as apartment buildings without access to gas supply and centralized or autonomous heating — the government has provided a preferential tariff. From October 1 to April 30, this tariff will be 2.64 UAH per kWh for consumption volumes up to 2,000 kWh per month. If consumption exceeds this limit, the standard tariff of 4.32 UAH per kWh will apply to the remaining electricity.

“This means that electricity prices for the population remain unchanged,” she reported.

Features of tariffing for electric heating systems

Starting from January 2025, the government has changed its approach to tariffing for certain categories of consumers. Users of electric heating systems will pay the full tariff of 4.32 UAH per kWh only for the volumes of electricity that exceed the established limit of 2,000 kWh per month. Thus, the state aims to reduce the financial burden on families that use electricity for heating their homes.
