In the first quarter of 2026, the average monthly salary in Ukraine reached 28,885 hryvnias. At the same time, the average salary for men was 9,007 hryvnias higher than for women.

Gender pay gap
According to official data, men in Ukraine earned an average of 33,798 hryvnias per month during this period, while women earned 24,791 hryvnias. Thus, the salary ratio between women and men was 73%.
“The average monthly salary in the first quarter of 2026 was 28,885 UAH: 33,798 UAH for men, 24,791 UAH for women,” the statement said.
Sectors with the largest salary differences
The largest gap in average nominal monthly salary between men and women was recorded in the field of arts, sports, entertainment, and recreation – 47.1%. A significant difference is also observed in financial and insurance activities – 38.7% and in the information and telecommunications sector – 37.8%.
Furthermore, as of April 2026, the average salary of an employee in Ukraine was 30,515 hryvnias, which is 0.5% higher than the figure for March of the same year.
