As a result of a recent enemy attack on a critical infrastructure facility, traffic on the “Odessa–Reni” highway has been completely halted. Consequently, some border crossing points on the Ukrainian-Moldovan section of the border in the Odesa region have temporarily ceased operations.

Which Border Crossing Points Are Temporarily Closed
The Moldovan side has informed about the closure of two main crossing points — “Maiaki-Udobne-Palanka” and “Starokozache-Tudora”. This decision is a necessary measure due to the deteriorating situation at the border and aims to ensure the safety of citizens.
“In light of this, we recommend that carriers and citizens refrain from traveling in this direction until the situation stabilizes and keep an eye on updates,” customs officials emphasized.
Alternative Routes for Crossing the Border
For those planning to cross the Ukrainian-Moldovan border, it is currently recommended to use the crossing points located within the operational zones of the Vinnytsia and Chernivtsi customs. The Moldovan side offers the following routes for different categories of movement:
- For Freight Transport:
- “Mamaliga – Kryva”
- “Sokyryany – Oknitsa”
- For Passenger Transport:
- “Bronnytsia-Unguri”
- “Vashkivtsi-Grimenkauts”
- “Rossoshany-Brichen”
- “Kelmentsi-Larga”
It is worth noting that there is currently a significant buildup of vehicles at the “Mohyliv-Podilskyi – Otach” crossing point, so customs officials advise planning trips with potential delays in mind.
The situation at the border remains dynamic. Ukrainian and Moldovan authorities urge citizens and carriers to promptly monitor official announcements regarding changes in the operation of crossing points.
