On June 6, some branches of the state-owned PrivatBank suspended operations for security reasons. However, all customer services of the bank remain available as usual. Customers can carry out financial transactions using the online banking service Privat24, as well as use ATMs, self-service terminals, or contact customer support.

“Caring for the safety of our customers and employees, some branches may temporarily close today, June 6. All customer services are operating without interruption.”
How to access banking services if a branch is closed
PrivatBank notes that if necessary, customers can visit the nearest operating branch. An up-to-date list of branches that continue to serve customers can be found online via the relevant link on the bank’s website.
Additionally, most banking operations are available through online services. In particular, Privat24 allows users to make payments, transfers, obtain statements, and access other services without visiting a branch. Customers can also use ATMs, self-service terminals, and contact the call center for remote assistance.
Massive shelling has caused restrictions on the bank’s operations
The restrictions on branch operations are related to the aftermath of the overnight massive attack by the Russian Federation on Ukraine. On the night of June 6, the Russian Federation launched a missile and drone attack on many cities. In Kyiv, damage was reported in six districts, including on the metro tracks between Darnytsia and Livoberezhna. As a result of the shelling, four people were killed, and at least 20 others were injured.
Strikes were also reported in Lutsk, where high-rise buildings, vehicles, and commercial properties were damaged, injuring five people. In Ternopil, due to hits on industrial and infrastructure facilities, part of the city was left without electricity, and rescuers were injured.
In the context of heightened danger, the bank urges customers to use remote service channels and stay updated on branch operations.
