In Ukraine, there is an increase in electricity consumption – as of the morning of July 10, the level of electricity usage was found to be 1% higher than during the same period the previous day. This figure is attributed to the decreased efficiency of household solar power plants and the increased load on the overall energy grid.

Reasons for the Decreased Efficiency of Solar Power Plants and Calls for Conservation
Among the main factors affecting the operation of domestic solar power plants, experts highlight the hot weather that has covered the entire country, as well as cloudiness with rain observed in the western and central regions. In such a situation, the production of electricity using solar panels becomes less efficient, which has led to an increase in the load on the national energy grid.
Updated Recommendations for Using Electrical Appliances
In response to changes in electricity consumption, energy officials have extended the time period during which citizens are advised to use electrical appliances sparingly. Previously, this period lasted from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM, but starting today, the extended period is from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
“Currently, the Ukrainian energy system continues to recover from the Russian massive missile and drone attacks. Emergency recovery work at energy facilities is ongoing. There is still a need for careful electricity consumption. Please limit the use of high-power electrical appliances from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM.”
As of July 2025, the Ukrainian energy system is gradually restoring its operations after the latest attacks by the Russian Federation. Emergency recovery work at energy facilities continues, and citizens are advised to maintain an energy-saving approach in their households and limit the use of high-power electrical appliances during designated hours to reduce the load on the electricity grid.
