Benefits of Participation for Startups

The Sandbox opens new opportunities for Ukrainian companies working with blockchain and AI technologies. Participants will receive a free audit of their innovative products, as well as consultations and recommendations regarding legal, business, and technical aspects. Expert support is provided by analysts, lawyers, and technology specialists from the relevant fields.

The goal of the project is to strengthen the country’s startup ecosystem and create a favorable legislative environment for the development of high-tech industries. The experience of participating companies will serve as a foundation for preparing effective solutions in the regulation of AI and blockchain.

“Startups can enhance and refine their innovative products for free under the guidance of top industry experts, while the state can capture innovative solutions, particularly for the public sector. The aim of the project is to create simple, clear, and effective legislation based on the acquired experience and the needs of technology startups in the fields of AI and blockchain. With favorable conditions, Ukraine can transform into a global hub for testing technologies,” said Mykhailo Fedorov, Minister of Digital Transformation.

Participation Conditions and Development Prospects

Participation in the Sandbox is open to Ukrainian startups developing products based on blockchain or artificial intelligence in areas such as public administration, healthcare, agriculture, education, defense, digital economy, and infrastructure.

Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation for IT Development Oleksandr Boryniakov notes that even in the challenging conditions of war, Ukraine’s startup ecosystem is actively developing: there are currently over 2,600 startups, 18% of which were founded after the onset of the full-scale invasion. According to him, the Sandbox will help scale AI and blockchain as strategic technologies, increase the investment attractiveness of startups, and facilitate their entry into international markets by meeting European standards.

The program is being implemented as an experimental project and will operate until October 2026. If the results confirm its effectiveness and demand among companies remains, the Sandbox may become a permanent tool for supporting innovation in Ukraine.

To participate, it is necessary to submit an application on the official website of the Ukrainian Startup Fund.
