The Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, Valery Gerasimov, reported a large-scale offensive by the Russian army on nearly all sections of the front. According to him, the occupying forces are demonstrating progress in several key directions of combat operations.

Russian Forces Report Advancements in Various Directions
Gerasimov stated that the group “Dnepr” allegedly took control of the settlements of Magdalynivka, Prymorske, and Zapasne. The Russian side also claims that the offensive continues towards Zaporizhzhia, and the so-called “security zone” is expanding in the border areas of Sumy and Kharkiv regions.
Separately, the Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Federation emphasized the intensification of combat operations in Donetsk region. According to him, the fiercest battles are taking place in the area of responsibility of the “Center” group – there, Russian forces are trying to advance in the direction of Dobropillia. Meanwhile, the “Southern” group is moving towards Sloviansk.
Fighting in Eastern Ukraine and the Use of Drones
The Russian command also announced the completion of the “cleansing” in the settlements of Drobysheve and Yarova in the Krasnolymansky direction, as well as combat actions in the area of Novoosynove following reports of the “liberation” of Hlushkivka on the eastern bank of the Oskil River.
“According to Gerasimov, during the first two weeks of February, Russian troops allegedly took control of 12 settlements, despite challenging winter weather conditions.”
He also emphasized that Russian units are actively using unmanned aerial vehicles. In his opinion, Russian forces are employing UAVs twice as intensively as Ukrainian forces. At the same time, Gerasimov acknowledged that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are focusing efforts on creating additional units utilizing unmanned systems.
As of the time of publication, there has been no official confirmation from the Ukrainian military command regarding the results claimed by the Russian side.
