Restoration efforts on the ground

Energy company specialists promptly began addressing the aftermath of the attacks where the security situation allows. Currently, energy crews are working hard to restore electricity supply in the affected regions as quickly as possible.

“Some communities in the Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, and Kharkiv regions remain temporarily without electricity on March 5 due to hostilities and attacks on energy infrastructure.”

Electricity consumption is decreasing

Additionally, according to energy experts, there is a trend of decreasing overall electricity consumption. As of 9:30 AM on March 4, the consumption level was 5.3% lower compared to the same period the previous day. These changes are primarily related to sunny weather that has covered most regions of the country. The effective operation of residential solar power plants has reduced the load on the overall energy grid.

Thus, despite the challenging situation, energy workers continue to work on stabilizing energy supply and minimizing the consequences of the shelling.
