The European Commissioner for Defense, Andrius Kubilius, announced that the European Union will soon disclose which member states have submitted requests for defense loans under the SAFE instrument, which has a total fund of 150 billion euros. According to him, this mechanism is of significant interest among EU member states.

Funding for the Defense Industry and Ukraine’s Role
Kubilius clarified that some countries are already expressing their intention to direct the loans received to support Ukraine. However, the final figures have not yet been released. More detailed information about the volumes of loans that will be used specifically for Ukrainian purposes is expected to be available closer to November.
“Ukraine’s defense industry is attractive to the EU. EU tools and programs can be very beneficial for Ukraine,” Kubilius noted.
At the same time, he refrained from commenting on the willingness of EU countries to finance the purchase of American weapons for Kyiv amounting to 90 billion dollars. The Commissioner emphasized that it is the European defense industry that shows greater interest in cooperating with the Ukrainian defense-industrial complex than vice versa.
Ukrainian Defense Industry at International Venues
Under the unified national brand ZBROYA, representatives of the Ukrainian defense-industrial complex participated in the DALO Industry Days 2025 exhibition held in Denmark. At the event, they presented modern developments and held negotiations with state customers regarding further cooperation in the so-called “Danish model” of partnership. Among the exhibitors were leading Ukrainian companies, including “Deviro,” “Athlon Avia,” Unwave, Tencore, and Fire Point.
