The rental prices for housing in Odesa have significantly increased over the past six months, particularly for three-room apartments. During this period, their cost has risen by 109%, meaning more than double. The average rental price for a three-room apartment in the city currently stands at 31,400 UAH per month. Higher prices are only observed in Kyiv, where renting similar housing costs approximately 47,500 UAH.

Changes in Prices for One-Bedroom and Two-Bedroom Apartments
According to a major specialized portal, the rental price for one-bedroom apartments in Odesa has increased by 38%. Now the average rental price for such housing reaches 11,000 UAH per month. Two-bedroom apartments have also seen a significant price increase: their rental cost has risen by 58%, with an average price of 16,700 UAH.
Reasons for the Rapid Increase in Rental Prices
The main reason for the sharp rise in rental costs for housing in Odesa is attributed by experts to the start of the resort season. Apartment owners are eager to earn additional income by renting out their properties to those looking to spend the summer by the sea or relocate for vacation during the warm season.
“As early as spring, the rental price for a country house in the Odesa region increased by 80% immediately. As analysts from a major specialized portal explained at that time, the reason for this was indeed the warm season – as many Ukrainians seek housing for: vacation, relocation during the holiday period.”
Overall, seasonal demand and the desire of vacationers to rent housing by the sea continue to influence the rise in rental prices in the region’s market.
