Regulator fines Betking 432 thousand hryvnias for reporting violations

The State Agency PlayCity imposed a fine of over 432 thousand hryvnias on the gambling operator Betking, which operates under the legal entity LLC “Slots UA”. The reason for the sanctions was the untimely submission of mandatory reports that gambling operators are required to regularly provide to the regulator.

Increased control in the gambling sector

According to current legislation, companies operating in the gambling sector must inform the state about compliance with licensing requirements, financial results, cash flow, and measures implemented for gambling addiction prevention. Violations of these norms are considered serious non-compliance with the conditions of conducting business and entail financial liability.

Systematic violations and increased accountability

It is worth noting that this is not the first violation by the company. Previously, PlayCity had already fined Betking over 4.3 million hryvnias, indicating a systematic nature of non-compliance with requirements in the online gambling sector.

“Recent decisions demonstrate that the state is increasing control over the gambling sector. Special attention is paid to financial transparency and operators’ accountability to clients.”

In 2026, there is a trend towards strengthening self-regulation among players in Ukraine. In particular, from January to April, over 3 thousand individuals took advantage of self-restriction opportunities by submitting relevant applications through the PlayCity platform, indicating a growing awareness of personal safety in the gambling sector.
