Increase in Suicides and Alcohol Use
According to agents of the “Atesh” movement from the 1st Tank Army of the Russian Armed Forces operating in the Kupiansk direction, the army has been suffering heavy losses for over two years. This leads to a catastrophic moral state among the personnel and the destruction of the army from within.
“An agent of ‘ATESH’ from one of the units of the 1st Tank Army of the Russian Armed Forces operating in the Kupiansk direction reports a catastrophic psychological state among the personnel. The army has been experiencing enormous losses for over two years — and is crumbling from within,” the report states.
Partisans note that the command is trying to conceal cases of suicide among the personnel. Such tragedies are often classified as “combat losses” or “accidents with weapons,” as officers fear punishment for the low morale of their subordinates. As a result, information about the true state of affairs does not reach the higher leadership.
Violence and Lack of Rotation
According to “Atesh”, alcohol has become almost the only means of psychological survival for many Russian soldiers. However, this leads to many servicemen performing their duties while under the influence of alcohol, and commanders are no longer responding to such incidents.
Furthermore, there is an increase in violence within the units of the Russian Armed Forces: officers are using physical force against subordinates, and conflicts often escalate into armed confrontations. The lack of rotation, rest, and any form of assistance leads to mass psychological breakdowns among the personnel.
“Atesh” emphasizes that the moral state of the army is as important a resource as ammunition, and this resource is currently on the verge of depletion.
