Price Increase of Food and Beverages in Ukraine: Yearly Analysis by the State Statistics Service

According to the State Statistics Service, in July of this year, wholesale prices for industrial products in Ukraine increased by 4.7% compared to the same period last year.

Price Dynamics of Key Products

The largest price increase was recorded for meat and meat products — their cost rose by 25.4%. In the segment of food products, beverages, and tobacco products, the price increase was more moderate.

Analysis of Prices in Domestic and Foreign Markets

Ukrainian producers raised prices for food, beverages, and tobacco products by 17.7% domestically. Exported products became even more expensive — by 22.9%.

Over the year, prices for dairy products increased by 19%. Meanwhile, bread, bakery, and flour products rose by 15.7%. Beverage manufacturers raised their product prices by 9.8%.
