According to data from the Pension Fund of Ukraine as of April 1, 2025, the highest pension payments are received by residents of the capital and industrial regions, while in the western regions, the amounts are considerably lower.

In particular, the highest average pension is recorded in Kyiv, where it amounts to 8,708 UAH. The top five regions with the highest pension payments also include:
- Donetsk region – 7,814 UAH.
- Luhansk region – 7,314 UAH.
- Dnipropetrovsk region – 7,082 UAH.
- Kyiv region – 6,671 UAH.
Lowest Pensions in Ukraine
The lowest pensions are recorded in the western regions of Ukraine. Specifically, in these regions, the average amounts are as follows:
- Ternopil region – 4,931 UAH.
- Chernivtsi region – 5,100 UAH.
- Transcarpathian region – 5,175 UAH.
This disparity in pension sizes is related to the level of wages, the duration of insurance experience, and the economic characteristics of each region.
