Growth of Digital Accounting and Market Participation
To date, 302 manufacturers and importers of cosmetic products have joined the system. They have provided information on over one and a half thousand cosmetic products, of which 30% are of Ukrainian production and 70% are imported. The introduction of digital accounting allows for the abandonment of outdated documentation methods and promotes market transparency.
“Ukraine continues to implement European regulatory standards, under which the Electronic Notification System for cosmetic products is already operational and actively used. The goal of implementing the system is to create transparent conditions for the cosmetics market and guarantee consumer safety by replacing outdated approaches with transparent digital accounting. Currently, 302 manufacturers and importers of cosmetic products are registered in the system. They have submitted information about over 1,500 cosmetic products, 30% of which are of Ukrainian production and 70% are imported.”
New Functionality for Responsible Persons
Recently, a new functionality was introduced in the system, allowing not only manufacturers or importers but also responsible persons acting on their behalf to submit information about cosmetic products. This significantly expands the service’s usability and simplifies the notification process for all market participants.
Thanks to the launch of the new electronic system in Ukraine, market participants can promptly and comprehensively submit information about each cosmetic product, which enhances the level of control and transparency in the industry.
