In 2025, some Ukrainians will be able to receive one-time financial assistance for Ukraine’s Independence Day. The amount of payments will range from 450 to 3100 hryvnias, as reported by the press service of the Pension Fund of Ukraine.

Payment Mechanism for Pensioners and Veterans
The payment mechanism in 2025 will remain the same as last year. Pensioners who are eligible for this assistance will receive it in August along with their pension. To receive the financial assistance, pensioners do not need to apply to any institutions.
War veterans who are not pensioners and are currently serving or working will receive funds in the accounts of the military units, institutions, or organizations where they serve or work, based on applications submitted by employers.
Application Submission Procedure
Citizens who are not pensioners and are not serving in the military but are eligible for the payment must contact the territorial office of the Pension Fund of Ukraine. In the application, which can be written in any form, it is necessary to provide the details of the documents confirming identity, the bank account number for receiving the payment, the registration number of the taxpayer’s card (if available), and the details of the certificate that grants the right to receive the financial payment.
The following documents must be attached to the application:
- a copy of the Ukrainian citizen’s passport or temporary certificate of a Ukrainian citizen (originals must be presented in person);
- a copy of the certificate confirming the relevant status of the individual (originals must be presented in person).
Applications for the one-time payment must be submitted by August 1, 2025. If it is not possible to submit the application by the specified deadline, it can be submitted by October 1, 2025. The application can be submitted in person at the service center of the Pension Fund of Ukraine or at the administrative services center at the place of residence, sent by mail to the address of the territorial office of the Pension Fund of Ukraine, or online through the electronic services web portal of the Pension Fund of Ukraine with the application of a qualified electronic signature.
