Official exchange rate of the dollar and euro on June 2: the hryvnia maintained its position against the dollar but weakened against the euro

The National Bank of Ukraine set the official exchange rate of the US dollar to the hryvnia at 41.53 UAH per dollar for Monday, June 2. Compared to the previous figure, the rate remained unchanged, according to the regulator’s data.

The hryvnia maintains stability against the dollar but loses ground against the euro

At the same time, regarding the European currency, the hryvnia demonstrated significant weakening. The official exchange rate of the euro for Monday is set at 47.07 UAH per euro, which is 27 kopecks higher than the day before. Thus, the Ukrainian currency has lost ground against the euro.

Dynamics in the interbank market

As of 16:00, the quotes of the hryvnia against the dollar in the interbank currency market of Ukraine stabilized at 41.53/41.56 UAH per dollar. The exchange rate of the hryvnia to the euro was 47.10/47.12 UAH per euro. This indicates a relative stability in the interbank market regarding the dollar, but at the same time reflects further weakening of the hryvnia against the European currency.

Overall, the currency market in Ukraine in the first half of June shows mixed trends: stability against the US dollar and moderate weakening against the euro.
