The National Bank of Ukraine has published updated official exchange rates for major foreign currencies against the hryvnia for Friday, September 19. According to the released information, the national currency of Ukraine has continued to show a slight depreciation against both the US dollar and the euro.

Hryvnia Exchange Rate Against Major Currencies

According to the NBU’s decision, the official exchange rate of the US dollar is set at 41.25 hryvnias per dollar. This means that compared to the previous banking day, the hryvnia has lost 6 kopecks against the American currency.

At the same time, the official exchange rate of the euro on September 19 has also increased. The cost of one euro is now 48.78 hryvnias, indicating a depreciation of the hryvnia by 1 kopeck against the European currency.

The exchange rate of the hryvnia to the euro is set at 48.78 UAH/euro.

Situation in the Interbank Market

In the interbank currency market, the exchange rates of the hryvnia against the dollar by 16:00 were 41.21-41.24 hryvnias per dollar, and against the euro — 48.71-48.74 hryvnias per euro. This indicates a continued trend of slight depreciation of the Ukrainian currency throughout the day.

Thus, the national currency of Ukraine continues to fluctuate under the influence of both external and internal factors, which is reflected in the dynamics of official currency rates.
