New Deferrals for Military Personnel in Reserve+

The latest update of the Reserve+ application introduces two new deferrals. The first pertains to individuals with temporary unfitness as determined by the military medical commission (MMC), while the second is for families where one parent is a military personnel and has a child under 18 years of age. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

“We continue to expand the number of deferrals in Reserve+. Our goal is to ensure that all deferrals provided by law can be processed in the application. We are gradually moving towards this,”

said Deputy Minister of Defense for Digitalization Kateryna Chernohorenko.

Procedure for Obtaining a Deferral

To obtain a deferral, users need to follow these steps:

  1. click on the three dots on the main screen of the Reserve+ application;
  2. select the option “Submit a Deferral Request”;
  3. choose the appropriate category;
  4. wait for a notification with the result.

The new version of Reserve+ also features an updated security certificate, enhancing the application’s security. Users are advised to update to the latest version to ensure an adequate level of security.

New Services in Reserve+

Additionally, the Deputy Minister announced the development of two new services:

  • displaying data on disability, including categories;
  • displaying reasons for violations of military registration rules.

Previously, users could only see the fact of a violation; now they will know what specifically led to it. For example, failure to update data or not appearing in a timely manner for a summons.

As a reminder, according to Chernohorenko, by the end of 2025, 35 different types of deferrals are planned to be implemented in “Reserve+”. The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has also introduced electronic referrals for the MMC, which now include the date of arrival for the medical examination. This will allow military personnel to undergo the commission without unnecessary visits to territorial recruitment and social support centers, ensuring convenience and saving time.
