Modern Design and Specifications of AC Cobra Coupe
The AC Cobra Coupe has become a new link in the development of the legendary model, which has been produced by the British company AC Cars in collaboration with Carroll Shelby since the 1960s. Although Cobra coupes existed before, they were exclusively racing versions, not production cars. The updated model retains iconic design features: an elongated hood, a wide grille, and round headlights, while the pointed rear end resembles the racing Shelby Cobra Daytona.
The dimensions of the new sports car have been increased compared to the original: the length is 4.23 m, the width is 1.98 m, and the wheelbase is 2.57 m. The body is made of carbon and mounted on an aluminum chassis, resulting in a weight ranging from 1450 to 1600 kg. Among the modern elements are LED headlights and large alloy wheels.
Impressive Power and Exclusive Interior
Under the hood of the AC Cobra Coupe is a 5.0-liter V8 engine from Ford. The naturally aspirated version produces 450 hp, while the supercharged modifications produce 720 or 800 hp. Buyers can choose between a 6-speed manual or a 10-speed automatic transmission. The car is equipped with a limited-slip differential and modern independent suspension on all wheels.
“The coupe has joined the new generation AC Cobra lineup and will go into production in 2027.”
The interior of the new model is finished with high-quality leather, Alcantara, and carbon elements, emphasizing the premium status of the car. The price of the AC Cobra Coupe starts at £399,000 (approximately $535,000). The British manufacturer plans to produce up to 1,000 Cobra coupes and convertibles annually, expanding its presence in the global sports car market.
