Age and Geographic Differences in AI Usage
Younger people aged 18-29 are the most frequent users of artificial intelligence—54% of this age group actively use the technology. In older age categories, particularly among those aged 30-44, only 21% have experience interacting with AI, while among individuals over 60, this figure drops to 4%.
Moreover, there is a significant difference between urban and rural areas: 21% of urban residents use AI, while in rural areas, only 9%. In megacities with populations over 500,000, the share of regular users reaches 25%, whereas in smaller towns, this figure is only 13%.
Ukrainians’ Attitudes Towards Artificial Intelligence
Regarding the overall attitude towards artificial intelligence, caution prevails. Among those familiar with the technology, 45% consider it potentially dangerous due to existing risks, while 39% of respondents see AI as an opportunity for change and progress. The most optimists are among the youth: 63% of them view artificial intelligence as a chance for a better future.
It is worth noting that earlier, OpenAI developed a global support program for countries to establish their own AI centers.
