State Standards and Safety Defined
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko announced that the algorithm for installing mobile shelters in the capital will be considered separately. Requirements for such structures have already been established at the state level, preventing the emergence of numerous criminal cases during their procurement and setup. The main point is that it is now clearly defined what mobile shelters should be like to ensure safety for everyone inside.
Kyiv Invests in Shelters and Upgrades Infrastructure
The issue of providing shelters has been one of the key concerns for the city over the past few years. During this period, Kyiv has allocated over 7 billion hryvnias for the modernization and setup of protective structures. Thanks to these funds, nearly 2000 shelters in various districts of the capital have been renovated.
“Unfortunately, the district administrations of the capital have not completed even a third of the planned work with the 4 billion hryvnias allocated for shelters this year,” he noted.
Mobile shelters are especially needed where it is impossible to construct permanent protective structures. They are planned to be placed in areas with the greatest need to ensure the safety of residents and visitors to the capital.
