McDonald’s in Ukraine to Introduce New Desserts: Grimes Milkshake and Dubai Mini Donut

What Desserts Will Be Added to the McDonald’s Menu?

While the new items have not yet been officially introduced in the menu of Ukrainian restaurants, hints about the upcoming arrival of one of them have already appeared on the social media of the national representation. Some users were quick to recognize these clues. It is worth noting that the company periodically updates its menu, but the Grimes milkshake and the Dubai mini donut have not yet been offered to Ukrainian consumers.

Interestingly, although information about the Dubai chocolate mini donut has not been officially announced yet, both new items have already appeared on the menus of some food delivery services.

Information on Ingredients and Estimated Prices

At this moment, the prices for the new desserts have not been officially disclosed. However, the estimated cost, which can already be seen on delivery services, is 42 UAH for the Dubai chocolate mini donut and 107 UAH for the Grimes milkshake.

“It is worth mentioning that in some foreign locations of the chain (particularly in Europe and the UAE), the Dubai mini donut appeared last year amid the trend of Dubai chocolate. It features a crispy pistachio filling with kataifi dough and small pieces of pistachios.”

The milkshake with Grimace berry syrup first appeared in 2023 in honor of the birthday of the character Grimace — the purple hero of McDonald’s advertising campaigns that were popular in the 80s and 90s. Despite attempts to revive the popularity of this character, the effect turned out to be not as significant as the developers had hoped.

In June 2023, a viral trend emerged on TikTok featuring the Grimace Shake. Users widely posted short videos of themselves drinking the purple milkshake and then staging scenes in the style of horror movies: suddenly fainting and ending up on the floor with spilled milkshake. McDonald’s representatives have not officially commented on the viral trend surrounding this drink.
