Leder’s Contribution to the Development of Uniswap Labs

During Leder’s leadership, the company achieved significant results in the field of decentralized finance. Under her supervision, Uniswap Labs launched its own mobile wallet, expanded the protocol’s operations across multiple blockchains, and paid special attention to safe interactions with regulatory bodies.

“After an incredible four years as President and COO of Uniswap, I am embarking on a new chapter. This is a new era for cryptocurrency. We have come a long way since I started working with digital assets at BlackRock in 2015, and building alongside Hayden Adams has been a true adventure,” Leder wrote on her X (formerly Twitter).

Regulatory Changes and New Challenges

Experts note that during Leder’s tenure, Uniswap Labs transformed into one of the key infrastructure providers in DeFi. Among her achievements are the scaling of the protocol and the implementation of innovative products. Leder’s resignation coincided with a period when Uniswap’s regulatory status stabilized after resolving issues with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission regarding previous compliance matters.

At the same time, it was recently revealed that the non-profit organization Bprotocol Foundation, which is involved in the development of the Bancor Protocol project, has filed a lawsuit against Uniswap Labs and Uniswap Foundation. The reason cited was potential disputes over copyright regarding intellectual property.
