Launch of a New Train Between Kyiv and Uzhhorod for Spring Travels

A new train will soon start operating between Kyiv and Uzhhorod, responding to the increasing passenger flow. According to Ukrzaliznytsia, over the past two weeks, the number of travel requests to Transcarpathia in the carrier’s app averaged about 3,000 per day.

This train will be temporary, as the services are scheduled from May 12 to July 30. Tickets for the new route are already on sale, with the price of a sleeper ticket for the April 12 departure from Kyiv being 287.05 UAH.

“To meet passenger demand for spring trips, Ukrzaliznytsia is appointing an additional train … No. 213/214 Kyiv – Uzhhorod – Kyiv. This train will be useful for travelers wishing to admire the magnolias, lilacs, and linden trees of Uzhhorod, rejuvenate in the recreational areas of Lviv and Transcarpathia, and simply see Ukraine in a new light,” the statement reads.

Schedule of the New Train

The train will run from Kyiv from May 12 to May 30 on even dates, and from June 1 to July 29 on odd dates. Departure from Kyiv is at 23:00, arriving in Uzhhorod at 12:31.

From Uzhhorod, the train will depart from May 13 to May 31 on odd dates, and from June 2 to July 30 on even dates. Departure is at 19:00, arriving in Kyiv at 9:18.

The price of tickets for the May 9 departure from Kyiv: sleeper – 287.05 UAH, coupe – 450.8 UAH.
