The incident happened during a ride when a 27-year-old resident of Kyiv suddenly felt unwell and became nauseous. The driver’s reaction was aggressive: he stopped the car, kicked the passenger out, and punched her in the face twice. After that, the man immediately drove away, leaving the victim at the scene.

Investigation and legal consequences

Law enforcement quickly identified the taxi driver — a 24-year-old man from Kyiv. According to doctors’ findings, the woman sustained multiple bruises and a jaw fracture.

Authorities found that during the taxi ride, the 27-year-old woman felt ill and was nauseous. Subsequently, when the woman became unwell, the driver reacted aggressively — he ejected the client from the car, punching her in the face twice. Doctors diagnosed the victim with bruises and a jaw fracture, as reported by the Kyiv Police Communication Department.

Investigators from the Dnipro Police Department have charged the young man under part 1 of Article 122 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — intentional infliction of moderate bodily harm. The pre-trial investigation has already been completed, and the indictment has been sent to court. The driver faces a prison sentence of up to three years.
