Kernel to Acquire Agro-Region Holding with 41,000 Hectares of Land and Elevators

One of the leaders in the Ukrainian agribusiness, the Kernel holding, will gain full control over the Agro-Region group of companies. The corresponding approval has already been granted by the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine. The deal involves the acquisition of the entire structure of Agro-Region — along with corporate rights, a land bank, agricultural machinery, and elevator facilities.

Key Details of the Deal

This is already Kernel’s second attempt to acquire Agro-Region during the full-scale war. During previous negotiations, the parties could not agree on the asset’s value. Currently, considering the location and quality of the land, experts estimate the deal’s value to be between 100 and 110 million US dollars.

Agro-Region owns a significant land bank of 41,000 hectares located in the Kyiv, Chernihiv, Zhytomyr, and Khmelnytskyi regions. Additionally, the group manages three modern elevators that provide storage and logistics capacities for agricultural products.

Kernel’s Market Position

Kernel remains the largest producer and exporter of sunflower oil in Ukraine, as well as leading among all agricultural exporters in the country. For the financial year 2025, the company reported a net profit of 238 million dollars, which is 42% higher than the previous year.

“Agro-Region” has a land bank of 41,000 hectares in the Kyiv, Chernihiv, Zhytomyr, and Khmelnytskyi regions. The group also owns three elevators.
