Irish Company Invests €280 Million in Factory in Lviv Region, New Textile Factory to Open in Ukraine

The State Inspection of Architecture and Urban Development of Ukraine has granted permission for the construction of a new building materials factory in the Lviv region for Kingspan Property, a subsidiary of the Irish corporation Kingspan Group. This group is a globally recognized leader in building materials manufacturing, operating in over 80 countries with more than 210 factories. The opening of the new factory in Lviv will be an important part of its global network.

The total investment in the project will amount to €280 million. The construction plans include the creation of workshops for the production of metal profiles, mineral wool panels, components, as well as recreational areas for employees and other production facilities. Additionally, a radiation protection shelter for 455 people is also planned.

Relocation of Textile Factory to Ukraine

A new textile factory may also emerge in Chernihiv by the end of the year. The “Textile-Contact” group has purchased equipment in Poland; however, transportation has been delayed due to border blockades by farmers last year. As a result, transportation costs have increased by 400%. Currently, 65 truckloads of equipment have already been delivered to Ukraine, some of which have been successfully installed. At the same time, preparations are underway for a facility covering over 7,000 square meters.
