IFC Plans to Invest €5 Million in Flyer One Ventures to Support Startups in Ukraine

The International Finance Corporation (IFC), part of the World Bank, is considering a €5 million investment in the capital of the Flyer One Ventures fund. These investments will be aimed at supporting technology companies in Ukraine as well as in Central and Eastern European countries.

Investment Discussion at the June Board Meeting

The IFC Board of Directors is set to discuss this project on June 20. It is expected that the project will receive additional support from donors under the “Economic Resilience” (ERA) program for Ukraine. In particular, Japan is prepared to invest up to $3 million in this project through blended financing.

Supporting Digital Business in Ukraine

IFC believes that these investments in Flyer One Ventures will significantly contribute to the development of digital entrepreneurship resilience in Ukraine and help maintain the local venture capital market.

Flyer One Ventures is an investment fund specializing in financing early-stage startups. To date, the fund has already invested nearly $43 million in 87 startups, including well-known projects such as Liki24, Fintech Farm, VOCHI, and Mate Academy.
