As of April 1, the average pension payment in Ukraine reached 6341.11 UAH. It is worth noting that 36.2% of pensioners, which amounts to over 3.7 million people, receive payments of less than 4 thousand hryvnias. This was reported by the head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Taxation, and Customs Policy, Danilo Hetmantsev.

“Of these, 3.9%, or nearly 400 thousand people, receive less than 3 thousand hryvnias at all,” noted the public official.
Compared to January 1, the average pension payment has increased by 9.5% (from 5789.05 UAH), and compared to the same date last year, it has risen by 10.5% (from 5743.28 UAH).
Regional Features of Pension Payments
The highest pensions are received by residents of:
- Kyiv – 8708.03 UAH;
- Donetsk region – 7813.93 UAH;
- Luhansk region – 7314.01 UAH.
The lowest pensions can be found in:
- Ternopil region – 4930.93 UAH;
- Chernivtsi region – 5100.02 UAH;
- Transcarpathian region – 5174.80 UAH.
Funding of Pension Payments
As of today, Ukraine has completed the funding of pension payments for April, which amounted to 67.4 billion UAH. In total, since the beginning of the year, 258.7 billion UAH has been allocated for pension payments. An additional 21.1 billion UAH has gone towards funding housing subsidies and benefits, and another 12 billion UAH has been allocated for insurance payments.
