Health Screening 40+: Government Simplifies Application Process via Diia

The government has updated the “Health Screening 40+” program, simplifying the application process through the “Diia” app. Ukrainians now have the opportunity to apply for a free comprehensive medical examination immediately upon turning 40, without having to wait 30 days after their birthday as was previously required.

What Changes Have Been Implemented in the Program

Among the main innovations is the removal of the link between applications and the date of birth. New timeframes for using the program have also been established:

  • After the funds are allocated, the participant has exactly two months to undergo the examination at the chosen medical facility. If this is not done within the specified period, the money is automatically returned to the state budget.
  • Citizens who have had funds allocated to them before May 1, 2026, can use them until June 30, 2026, inclusive.

Examination Package within the Program

The “Health Screening 40+” program aims at the early detection of chronic disease risks. The list of examinations includes:

  • Laboratory tests to assess the functioning of the heart, blood vessels, and kidneys;
  • Assessment of the risk of developing type 2 diabetes;
  • Measurement of blood pressure and evaluation of mental health;
  • Basic anthropometry and completion of a questionnaire;
  • Professional lifestyle advice, and if necessary, referrals for additional diagnostic procedures or treatment.

“From now on, unnecessary time restrictions have been removed for Ukrainians, and applications for free comprehensive examinations can be submitted immediately after turning 40.”

To take advantage of the service, it is necessary to submit an application through the “Diia” app or contact the nearest CNAP after turning 40. After the funds of 2,000 UAH are received, one should choose a convenient medical facility (state, communal, or private), make an appointment, and undergo the examination.

Additionally, young people aged 18 and older can utilize the eBook program through “Diia” and receive corresponding payments.
