Damage to the Russian corvette and fire on board
According to military sources, the strike targeted one of the bases of the Baltic Fleet of the Russian Navy in the Kronstadt area. Preliminary reports indicate the ship is the “Boykiy,” which has confirmed a large-scale fire on board. Final results and the exact extent of the damage are currently being clarified.

The command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine emphasizes that Project 20380 corvettes are multi-purpose combat ships of the near sea zone, capable of engaging surface targets, submarines, aerial objects, and striking coastal facilities. Earlier, the commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces, Robert Brovdi, reported that the damaged corvette is a carrier of missile weapons.
Losses of the Russian fleet and strikes on infrastructure
The Russian military command has not yet confirmed the information regarding the damage to the ship. Meanwhile, according to the latest data from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of June 3, the Russian army has already lost 33 ships and boats since the beginning of the full-scale war against Ukraine.
Recently, strikes were carried out on the Petersburg oil terminal and several other facilities in Russia. President Zelensky confirmed the damage to the terminal, as well as to an enterprise in the Tambov region involved in the production of Russian weapons, and the Kronstadt base. The attacks were conducted on the day of the opening of the international economic forum in Saint Petersburg.
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia, various facilities both on its territory and in the territories of Ukraine it occupies regularly suffer air strikes. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine emphasizes that the Ukrainian Defense Forces systematically carry out measures to reduce the combat potential of Russian troops and compel the Russian Federation to cease aggression against Ukraine.
