The Saratov refinery is one of the key oil processing enterprises in the Volga region and is part of the oil company Rosneft. Its designed capacity is about 7 million tons of oil per year. The enterprise produces gasoline, diesel fuel, and other products that are used, among other things, to support the military logistics of the Russian Federation.

According to the General Staff, an important element of the oil transportation infrastructure of the Russian Federation was also struck – the linear production and dispatch station “Lazarevo” in the Kirov region, which pumps crude oil through the Surgut-Gorky-Polotsk main pipeline.

In addition, the Defense Forces struck a fuel and lubricant materials depot in the village of Matveyev Kurgan in the Rostov region, an enemy command and observation point in the area of Begoshcha (Kursk region), drone control points in the areas of Kalynove (Donetsk region) and Grafovka (Belgorod region), as well as a workshop for the occupiers’ drones in Donetsk.

On the night of May 31, according to reports from Russian Telegram channels, drones attacked the Saratov oil refinery. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia, various facilities in the territory of the Russian Federation and temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine have been regularly subjected to air strikes. Most of these attacks have been confirmed by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, emphasizing that the Defense Forces of Ukraine systematically implement measures aimed at reducing the combat potential of the Russian occupation forces and forcing the Russian Federation to cease its armed aggression against Ukraine.
