Experts’ Forecasts on Fuel Prices

Experts expect that during the current week (May 19-25), fuel prices at gas stations will not change significantly, neither increasing nor decreasing. Specialists note that Ukrainians should not expect a decrease in fuel prices due to a number of factors.

One such factor is the reduction in traders’ margins associated with the transition to ethanol gasoline. Additionally, the planned maintenance of a major gasoline supplier in Ukraine – the plant of the Austrian company OMV – will also affect price dynamics. According to fuel expert Serhiy Kuyun, “The OMV plant is one of four major gasoline suppliers in Ukraine. If demand remains at a normal level, this will prevent prices from decreasing, but it will also not create conditions for an increase.”

Today’s Gasoline Prices at Gas Stations

The founder of the “Prime” group, Dmytro Lyoshkin, expressed confidence that gas stations will not change gasoline prices in the near future. “The price of gasoline will remain unchanged, as the major players have virtually no potential to reduce the margin on A-95,” he noted.

As of May 19, 2025, according to the consulting group “A-95”, gasoline prices at major gas station networks range from 48.95 to 57.99 UAH per liter. The highest prices are recorded at the WOG and OKKO networks – 57.99 UAH per liter, as well as at the Rur group – 57.99 UAH per liter. The lowest gasoline price is observed at Avantage 7 stations, where a liter costs 48.95 UAH.
