The National Commission for State Regulation in the Spheres of Energy and Public Utilities (NERC) has made changes to the structure of payment documents for residential natural gas consumers. From now on, the gas distribution bill can be combined with the main gas bill on a single sheet, which is intended to simplify the payment process for citizens.

What Changes NERC is Implementing in Bills
According to the new regulation from the regulator, financial documents for gas payment must include a clearly defined list of mandatory information as specified by Directive (EU) 1788/202. Official templates, samples, and forms of invoices have also been approved to ensure transparency and clarity for consumers.
In particular, the invoice for natural gas payment may be provided together with the invoice for distribution services (on one sheet) in compliance with the legal requirements for the separation and independence of suppliers.
New Opportunities for Consumers
The updated rules stipulate that consumers can independently choose a convenient form of receiving payment documents: either in paper form or in electronic format. This will allow citizens to select the most comfortable way to monitor and make payments for gas and its distribution.
As a result of these changes, bills will become clearer and more convenient for payment, as well as meet modern European standards for organizing utility payments.
