Similar changes are anticipated in exchange offices. Taras Lesovyi, the director of the financial markets and investment activities department at Globus Bank, noted that the dollar exchange rate in exchange offices will also be within the range of 41.4 to 41.8 UAH. As of the evening of May 22, exchange offices were buying dollars at an average of 41.01 UAH and selling them at 41.49 UAH.

Situation in the Currency Market

Lesovyi emphasized that the end of May in the currency market will occur “on a completely positive note.” Exchange rate fluctuations will remain within familiar limits, and there are no signs of panic in the market. This is confirmed by the gradual strengthening of the role of the National Bank of Ukraine in balancing supply and demand.

“Thus, the situation in the currency market will remain within the expected scenario: supply and demand will be balanced, and any current exchange rate changes will be almost cosmetic and pose no threat. Currently, there are no signs of potential panic,” Lesovyi stated.
