Dollar and Euro Exchange Rate: Predictions for the Coming Days

Analysts point to factors that prevent currency exchange owners from reducing the spread between buying and selling the dollar and euro in the coming days. According to estimates, the dollar exchange rate on Saturday, May 10, will fluctuate in currency exchange offices of financial companies and banks within the range of: buying – from 41.10 to 41.45 UAH/USD and selling – from 41.50 to 41.70 UAH/USD.

The euro exchange rate is also expected to remain within the corridor: buying – from 46.50 to 46.95 UAH/EUR, and selling – from 47.10 to 47.60 UAH/EUR.

“Some exchange offices may adjust these buying/selling prices for the dollar and euro within plus/minus 3-5 kopecks due to their specific individual tasks and customer needs in each particular region,” noted the expert.

The expert also emphasized that the factor of uncertainty, as well as the impact of the war, prevent exchange owners from reducing the spread: “It simply makes no sense for financiers to do this, as the main ‘irritants’ for the market have not gone away. Therefore, exchange owners will set the spread for the dollar within 20-25 kopecks, and for the euro – within 20-40 kopecks. Wholesale currency exchange points will operate with a spread for the dollar and euro within 15-20 kopecks,” added Kozyrev.
