The Ministry of Digital Transformation, in collaboration with the Ministry of Veterans Affairs, has implemented a new digital service on the “Diia” portal. From now on, Ukrainian entrepreneurs can obtain veteran business status entirely online — just a few clicks, without visiting government institutions or collecting paper documents.

Who can obtain veteran business status
The service is aimed at two key categories of businesses. First, these are individual entrepreneurs (IEs) who have official veteran status. Second, these are legal entities where all founders and ultimate beneficiaries also have veteran status.
Step-by-step guide to obtaining status
The procedure is highly automated: the “Diia” portal system independently verifies the necessary information in government registers, allowing the processing time to be reduced to just a few minutes. To obtain the status, you need to follow a few simple steps:
- Log in to your personal account on the “Diia” portal.
- Check the automatically uploaded data from government registers and confirm compliance with the conditions of veteran entrepreneurship.
- Familiarize yourself with the application and sign it with a qualified electronic signature (QES).
- Receive the decision and electronic extract in your account or via email.
“It is worth noting that this status is a key tool for entrepreneurs, opening up opportunities for attracting targeted government grants, participating in special support programs, and faster scaling of their business.”
The creation of the “Veteran Entrepreneurship Status” service was made possible with the support of the United Nations Development Programme in Ukraine and funding from the Government of Sweden.
