Ukrainian students now have the ability to confirm their student status not only through traditional paper or plastic documents but also in digital format. With the introduction of a new electronic document called “Mriya ID” in the state educational application “Mriya”, student IDs have become accessible on smartphones.
This is reported by Finway
According to government resolution No. 177, “Mriya ID” holds the same legal validity as a regular plastic or paper document, and it is entirely sufficient for confirming student status.
How the digital student ID works in the “Mriya” application
The electronic student ID is automatically created for students of educational institutions that are already connected to the state ecosystem “Mriya”. The application on the smartphone displays essential information: the child’s first and last name, their photograph, the full name of the educational institution, and their class. Thanks to this document, students can quickly confirm their status in any necessary situation.
Currently, the digital student ID is actively used in the cities of Zaporizhzhia and Odesa. Here, students can already use their smartphones for discounted travel on public transport. To do this, it is sufficient to open the document in the application and present it to the controller. Importantly, for this opportunity to be realized in a specific city, the local council must adopt a corresponding decision, after which “Mriya ID” is officially recognized as a valid digital ticket for transport.
Additional opportunities: bonuses and incentives for students
The developers of the educational application “Mriya” are expanding its functionality, transforming the platform into a tool for encouraging learning. To this end, a special virtual currency called “mriyky” has been introduced. Students can earn “mriyky” for:
- systematic and successful completion of homework;
- participation in educational quizzes;
- watching educational and informative videos.
The earned “mriyky” can be exchanged for various rewards: tickets to cinemas, participation in VR quests, certificates for purchasing books, or free access to workshops and tutoring sessions from socially responsible businesses.
It is worth noting that earlier, innovative tools based on artificial intelligence were already implemented in the state educational ecosystem “Mriya”, which also contributes to the modernization of the educational process and enhances its effectiveness.
