Development of a Graphite Deposit in Kirovohrad Region for Battery Production

The company “Rozvytok Pobuzhzhya”, which is part of BGV Group Management owned by the co-owner of the ATB supermarket chain, Hennadiy Butkevych, has signed a memorandum of intent to cooperate with the state institution “Office for Investment Attraction and Support”UkraineInvest.

This collaboration is an important step in attracting international funding and state support for large investment projects in the Ukrainian mining sector, particularly in the exploration, extraction, and processing of critical materials. UkraineInvest will provide informational, consulting, and organizational support, as well as facilitate effective interaction between investors and government bodies.

Project in Kirovohrad Region

In Kirovohrad region, the company “Rozvytok Pobuzhzhya” will be developing the Balakhivske deposit. The project involves the construction of a mining and processing plant and a facility for producing spherical graphite, which will be used for lithium-ion batteries. The BGV group has already six years of experience working on this project and plans to integrate into the supply chain of battery production for global and European markets.

The total investment requirement for the project is up to $450 million.
