Key Areas of the Support Program
The Ukraine Transition Program covers three key areas: enhancing resilience and recovery from destruction, investing in the modernization of the energy sector with a focus on renewable energy sources, and developing democratic processes. The program is designed to increase Ukraine’s capacity to meet the basic needs of its population, facilitate the transition to an ecological economy, and create favorable conditions for private business. Special attention is given to the reforms necessary to bring Ukraine closer to EU membership.
Investment Intentions of Denmark and Switzerland
Danish companies are showing interest in the reconstruction of Ukrainian infrastructure. In particular, Vaekstkapital Group ApS is considering the possibility of building residential properties in Mykolaiv. The organization has experience in implementing similar projects in Bulgaria and North Macedonia, providing a full cycle from design to commissioning.
Denmark is launching a systemic integration project for Ukraine – the Ukraine Transition Program – with a budget of €375 million. Three key areas are resilience support and early recovery, energy security and transition to green energy, and the development of democratic institutions.
Additionally, the Swiss government has initiated a draft law that will allow more private enterprises to participate in the reconstruction process in Ukraine. It is expected that the new legislative changes will create a legal framework for procuring goods and services from Swiss companies to meet Ukraine’s needs with public funds.
