In the first half of 2025, Ukrainians significantly increased their purchases of passenger cars from China. According to industry statistics, 7318 passenger cars imported from the PRC were purchased during this period, which is 0.4% more compared to the same period last year.

Most Are New Electric Vehicles
Among the purchased cars, new vehicles dominated – their share amounted to 5963 units, which is 12% more than in the first six months of 2024. At the same time, the demand for used cars decreased: 1355 such cars were imported, which is 31% less than last year.
It is worth noting that among all passenger cars from China, the vast majority – 85% – were electric vehicles. This indicates the growing popularity of eco-friendly transport among Ukrainian motorists.
Most Popular Chinese Cars in Ukraine
Among the new cars brought from China, the following models were in the highest demand:
- BYD Song Plus – 982 units
- VW ID. Unyx – 830 units
- HONDA eNS1 – 441 units
- ZEEKR 7X – 402 units
- ZEEKR 001 – 366 units
As for used cars produced in China, the most frequently purchased were:
- ZEEKR 001 – 173 units
- ZEEKR 7X – 95 units
- POLESTAR 2 – 76 units
- MG ZS – 68 units
- TESLA Model 3 – 65 units
“During the first half of 2025, Ukrainians purchased 22,000 used passenger cars imported from the USA. The average age of the ‘Americans’ with mileage that replenished the Ukrainian vehicle fleet this year is 5.8 years.”
Thus, the passenger car market in Ukraine continues to cater to both modern Chinese electric vehicles and used cars from the USA, reflecting the diversity of consumer preferences among Ukrainian drivers.
