Reasons for the Suspension

According to the company “Euro-Reconstruction,” which operates the Darnytsia CHPP, a decision was made to immediately stop the plant’s operations following the enemy shelling. Specialists, together with relevant services, have begun comprehensive technical inspections and are carrying out necessary restoration work to ensure the continued safe operation of the heating supply system.

The extent of the damage requires phased solutions and thorough checks of the equipment before the heating supply system can resume operations. Further updates on the plant’s operations will be communicated additionally

The Importance of the CHPP for the City

The Darnytsia CHPP is one of the key sources of heating supply for residential and communal consumers in the Dnipro and Darnytsia districts of Kyiv. The plant’s installed electrical capacity is 160 MW, allowing it to provide heating to thousands of households. Restoring its operations is a priority task for the city authorities and energy workers in light of the approaching cold weather.
