In the morning of February 17, around 6:00 AM, the first cruise missiles entered the airspace of Ukraine. Monitoring resources detected several attack directions, which triggered a large-scale air alert across most of the country.

Main Flight Paths of the Missiles
According to the information from the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a high-speed target was detected in the Sumy region, moving towards Poltava. There were also reports of groups of missiles approaching Mykolaiv from Kherson and heading northwest. A separate missile was recorded in the Sumy region, flying through Chernihiv towards Kyiv. Additionally, groups of missiles north of Mykolaiv were heading towards Odesa.
The onset of the massive attack was accompanied by the announcement of an air alert in almost all of Ukraine, except for certain areas of the Zhytomyr region.
Operational Response and Air Defense
At 6:22 AM, the Air Forces reported groups of missiles heading towards Odesa and the direction of Zatoka, as well as flying along the border of Mykolaiv and Odesa regions towards Vinnytsia. By 6:26 AM, another missile was recorded on its way to Odesa.
The public “Mykolaiv Vanyok” reports on the successful operation of air defense against the missiles: approximately half have already been shot down.
At 6:36 AM, the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine clarified that the missiles were heading towards Vinnytsia and passing by Shargorod towards Kamianets-Podilskyi.
