Customs Reform as an Element of Revenue Strategy

Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko emphasized the importance of this step for the effectiveness and transparency of the State Customs Service. She noted that the government has approved a medium-term program for customs reform, which is key to the National Revenue Strategy until 2030.

“Today at the government meeting, we initiated the process of an open competition for the position of head of the State Customs Service of Ukraine. This is an important stage in rebooting the customs service, which must become an effective and transparent body operating according to European standards,” Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko reported on Telegram.

The goal of the reform is to create equal conditions for all participants in the economy and ensure stable revenues to the state budget. Changes in the customs service are expected to enhance business trust, strengthen the fight against corruption, and integrate Ukraine’s customs system into European standards.
